I’ve spent the last ten years working in a variety of industries honing my talents and picking up a lot of useful information on the way. I started out in law enforcement working as a case worker for felons and transitioned to working National Security investigations before making my way into business. I started working in business with non-profits and education, eventually ending up in private industry where I became a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. It’s been an amazing road and I’m hooked!
This year saw me accepting two Board of Director positions, one for a non-profit and one for the Institute of Management Consultants. I also started blogging for Women in Business and contribute a weekly blog on being a woman owned small business. As I continue to learn and grow, I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
After all the professional stuff, Leona Charles is a mom and a runner (okay maybe I used to be a runner, but I’m working my way back!). The truth is that I’m a small business owner and a wife and a mother and a blogger and a million other things.
Just like every other business owner I am always walking the tightrope between work and family and that’s where this business comes in. I don’t ever want to miss another play or ceremony because something has gone crazy at the office, and I don’t want you to either. I love talking and I love hearing about my clients, I think it’s great how they go from clients to friends.
So who am I? Your trusted advisor, your friend and that parent trying to get out before the volunteer sheet comes around!
